Intimate retreats for photographers
Editorials. Mentoring. Community.

KINEDIT is a premium photography retreat designed for photographers and creatives who want to elevate their portfolio, grow professionally, and reconnect deeply with their craft — all within an intimate and inspiring community.

Through mentorship sessions, we go beyond photography to explore mindset, strategy, and purpose — helping you gain clarity and confidence in your creative journey.

At its heart, The Kin Edit is about connection: shared meals, honest conversations, and a creative space that nourishes both vision and spirit. You’ll leave with a refined portfolio, renewed direction, and lasting relationships.

  • Our retreats are intentionally premium experiences — we produce high-level editorial-styled shoots with professional models that are not easy to book for yourself, we work with a established stylists, and full production teams.

Out of the three shoots we create together, one is developed as a publishable editorial that we aim to submit to magazines. This hands-on experience allows you to learn the entire process of producing editorials or campaigns — from concept development and direction to execution and submission — while gaining real insight into how the industry works.

Beyond the shoots, we host mentorship sessions that go far deeper than just photography. We talk about the industry, how to reach out to clients, build authentic connections, and develop strategies that open real opportunities. Because in this industry, talent alone isn’t enough — you need the right mindset, strategy, and relationships.

We explore goal-oriented thinking, creative confidence, and how to shape a mindset that leads to lasting success. The retreat becomes a space of discovery; about your creativity, your strengths, your purpose, and your potential.

At its heart, KINEDIT is also about community. We gather in an intimate setting to share stories, highs and lows, deep conversations, laughter, and meals that nourish both body and soul. Each person brings their own experiences and gifts, creating a space that’s both inspiring and real.

We intentionally keep the group small, allowing each participant one-on-one time with the models, so every photographer can direct freely and create unique, personal images — just like in a real production.

Our goal is that you leave not only with a refined portfolio but also with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. Inspired creatively, mentally, and spiritually. You’ll walk away with more than beautiful images: a concrete action plan, new strategies, and a fresh perspective on what’s next for you.

The KINEDIT is about excellence, detail, and care — a few days of being creatively nourished, inspired, and deeply connected.

PUGLIA

PUGLIA

Puglia, October 2025

Five slow days under the Italian sun — tucked away in a quiet Trullo villa surrounded by olive trees, laughter, and the soft hum of cicadas. We came together as photographers, dreamers, and friends — each carrying our own stories, questions, and hopes for what’s next.

  • Our mornings began gently — with mentoring sessions that turned into deep, honest conversations about business, creativity, and purpose. There was no rush, just presence. Space to listen, to share, and to be seen.

Then came the shoots — three in total, each one unfolding like its own chapter. Everyone had their one-to-one moment with the model, time to create something that felt truly theirs. We worked slowly, with intention. One of the editorials became the heart of the retreat — full of emotion, movement, and that kind of beauty you can’t plan for.

Jack cooked for us each day, lunches and long dinners that turned into hours of connection. We played games, shared stories, and sat under the stars talking about life, faith, and what growth really looks like — not just in our work, but within ourselves.

By the end, it didn’t feel like a retreat anymore. It felt like family. A week of creativity, laughter, and stillness, the kind that lingers long after you’ve unpacked your bags. Puglia changed us. In small, quiet ways that will keep unfolding for a long time.

TESTIMONIAL

This retreat in Puglia was absolutely amazing. I had high expectations going into this, but they were exceeded in every possible way. Charlotte, Gareth, and the whole team were incredibly welcoming and professional. I was so impressed by how thoughtfully and seamlessly everything was organized, from the planning, model casting, styling, and locations to the fantastic chef. Every detail was chosen with such care, and everyone involved truly contributed to both the sense of growth and the feeling of community.

The balance between mentorship, shoot planning, photography, and not least, the group dynamic was just perfect. Everyone had both the time and the space to get feedback and to be heard. Charlotte and Gareth really shared their knowledge with such generosity and with a genuine passion for helping each participant grow.

For me, the experience marked the beginning of an entirely new journey, and I can wholeheartedly recommend these retreats to any photographer who wants to take the next step in their creative path. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, one I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

TUSCANY

TUSCANY

Tuscany/Umbria , June 2025

Five golden days, where creativity, connection, and courage came together under the Italian sun. We gathered as photographers from around the world, not just to shoot, but to grow. To be still. To remember why we create.

  • Our days unfolded slowly, each one filled with presence and purpose. We began with group sessions and one-on-one coaching, diving deep into creativity, mindset, and vision. There was space to listen, to be honest, and to let new ideas take root.

The shoots became the heart of the retreat.
In Orvieto, we wandered through narrow streets and sun-drenched piazzas — soft evening light spilling over ancient stone walls and the beautiful church that anchored the town. It felt timeless, almost cinematic.

At the villa, surrounded by nature and silence, we spent an entire day creating freely — moving slowly, shooting with intention, and letting the space guide us. It was intimate, calm, and deeply creative.

And then there was the farm in Tuscany — nestled between the vineyards, where horses roamed and the air felt alive. Bringing animals into the shoot made it feel wild and real — a true celebration of connection between humans, nature, and art.

Evenings were their own kind of magic. Aperitivos at sunset, long dinners under the stars, and conversations that flowed for hours. Each night ended with Frank — a card game of deep questions that opened us up in ways none of us expected. We laughed, we shared, we reflected. It wasn’t just about getting to know each other — it was about getting to know ourselves.

By the end, it didn’t feel like a retreat anymore. It felt like family.
A week of beauty, depth, and creative kinship — the heart of what KINEDIT stands for.

TESTIMONIAL

I’m so happy I took the leap and came to the KINEDIT retreat. I was feeling very stuck and stagnant with the direction of my photography. The retreat not only gave me a creative boost but also a mental and emotional boost. I learned so much from being in community with other photographers and was pushed outside my comfort zone. From the food to the company it was an amazing experience that gave me memories to last a life time. Every single detail of the trip and the planned shoots with the models are so carefully thought out and intentional. It wasn’t just about building a better portfolio, but developing the mindset that’s important to being a photographer and making sure you’re in alignment with the decisions you’re making as an artist.

I had a fantastic time at the retreat. While I was already drawn to Charlotte’s unique work, I did not expect to having such a transformative experience throughout the days. Charlotte understands the art of bringing out the best in each photographer; while we were all shooting in the same spaces, we were encouraged to express our individual voices and styles in every shoot. She showed us that there’s more than enough room for all of us in this creative space, as long as we embrace our own creativity with intention and seek out ways to collaborate with autenticity. I believe this is an important lesson for many creatives in the industry to take to heart.

Throughout the retreat, there was a balance between group sessions and 1:1 coaching/support. Time was divided between enhancing photography skills, gaining insight into running a photography business, refining workflows, and of course, shooting. Charlotte also scouted stunning and varied locations, and brought together an incredible team of top models, makeup artists, and stylists to give us a fully immersive (fashion) photography experience. The cherry on top was the beautiful traditional villa we stayed in, including a private chef and all logistics handled very well.

All in all, I’ll be forever grateful for this experience. In just five days, I not only improved my skills but also gained clarity about my ambitions and aspirations as a photographer. And then there were the new friendships, candlelit conversations, countless laughs, and unforgettable views of the Italian countryside.

Charlotte put a lot of love and thought into this retreat, and this was visible and felt throughout the time we spent together.

Thank you, Charlotte, for bringing us together. You made magic.

Rasmus

The photo retreat in Tuscany (well, Umbria) far exceeded my expectations. It was exceptionally well-planned and executed, and I leave with a completely refreshed portfolio and a much clearer understanding of my own creative process.

Not only did I gain valuable insights into the fashion photography industry, but I also received practical, actionable tools for building a sustainable career – from finding clients to showcasing my work effectively.

Just as important, I experienced a powerful renewal of inspiration and a fresh perspective on photography itself – something that has already begun to influence how I see and create images.

Equally meaningful was the genuine sense of community that formed between both participants and facilitators. We built connections that go far beyond the retreat itself – friendships and creative support I hope will last for years to come.

Truly an unforgettable and career-shaping experience.

Signing up to this photography retreat was something I wanted to do to expand my photography skills and connections and I will say this retreat did that and more! I left with incredible friendships from all over the world as well as enhanced my portfolio with some of the most incredible sceneries and models.

Thank you Charlotte for connecting us all and making this retreat happen. I am forever grateful.

Jessica

All I can say is… wow. I did not just uplevel my photography skills, I transformed the way I create.

At KINEDIT, I pushed myself to shoot in ways I would not normally try during client sessions. I experimented, took creative risks, and explored a side of my photography style I had not fully tapped into before. It helped me grow tremendously, not only technically, but creatively and strategically.

One of the biggest gifts of the workshop was having direct access to Charlotte. She answered questions I had always wondered about, especially around how to reach out to brands and build real connections in the industry. Having the opportunity to ask her specific questions in an intimate retreat setting was truly invaluable.

Charlotte took care of everything. She made sure each photographer had their moment to shine, from directing models to building the kind of portfolio that feels aligned with who they are.

Before this retreat, I knew I wanted to do something that would challenge me creatively, but I did not know how to carve out the time or space to do it for myself. Charlotte made that possible. She curated everything: models, styled shoots, stunning locations and used her incredible network to give us access to spaces we would never have been able to shoot in otherwise.

We experienced different lighting conditions, styling setups, and creative direction approaches. Charlotte did not walk us through her camera settings unless we asked (which I appreciated), but we observed her process and also learned from how the other photographers in the group worked. That alone was incredibly expansive. Seeing how differently everyone approached the same shoot opened my mind to new possibilities for my own work.

By the end, my portfolio felt stronger, more dynamic, and more aligned with my vision. I showed myself, and others, what I am truly capable of beyond what I had done before. I gained far more than I invested, and honestly, Charlotte could charge more for what she offers.

From the private chef to the seamless logistics, she thought of every detail. When unexpected challenges came up, like model cancellations, she handled them like a true professional: calm, grounded, and solution-focused. That alone was a masterclass in what it means to be a producer and leader on set.

She also brought in a guest speaker, who guided us through powerful mindset work around abundance, limiting beliefs, and building a life that feels rich beyond money. That session was a game-changer. It cracked open a deeper layer of personal growth I did not expect, and it is already shifting how I approach both life and business.

If you have been considering attending one of Charlotte’s retreats, I truly recommend it. Whether you are a brand photographer, fashion photographer, or someone looking to grow creatively, this experience will expand you in every way. I returned home with new skills, new clarity, and a portfolio that feels magnetic.

One of the most impressive parts of the retreat was the way Charlotte leveraged her relationships to open doors we could not have accessed on our own. From historic villas to dreamy, cinematic landscapes, every location felt like a scene from a movie. These were not your average shoot spots. Her personal connections made it possible for us to shoot in spaces that felt elevated, exclusive, and full of story each one adding something truly special to our portfolios. It was clear she had spent years nurturing these relationships, and it made all the difference in the quality of the experience.

Charlotte, thank you for believing in your vision and for creating such a safe, inspiring space for us to grow. You did not just teach us, you showed us what is possible. I am beyond grateful.
